Dhansika starved for four days

                                                                             

For four consecutive days, Dhansika survived with mere water and fruit juice, to get her act right in the climax scene of Bala's forthcoming film 'Paradesi'.

"In Paradesi, I play the role of a girl who works in a tea estate. Bala told me that my character would be talked about. I put my best efforts and worked hard for two months," she says.

The 'Maanja Velu' and 'Aravaan' actress adds: "Bala wanted me to reduce weight for the climax scene. Hence I starved for four days. During those days, my only intake was water and fruit juice."

Produced by Bala himself, the film has Atharva as the protagonist. Music is by G V Prakash Kumar. The audio will be launched in London on September 19.
